This is my go-to wardrobe item. I have bought many of these in different colors and multiple black ones. James Perse sizing is done by numbers: 1 is a small, 2 medium, 3 large and 4 is extra large. I do personally think they run small, for at least for the fit I prefer. It's 51% modal and 49% cotton so its soft, and doesn't shrink much. The length is perfect and the fit is casual. The lighter colors like white and light blue are sheer and fairly see through
